Hi, I’m Lillian Adkins, an 18-year-old artist with a passion for storytelling through visual art and words. I grew up in Germany, with both German and American roots, and I’ve always found inspiration in the blend of cultures, places, and everyday details that surround me.
Ever since I could hold a pencil, I’ve been drawing — first with simple sketches and colored pencils, and later experimenting with acrylic paints, lettering, and more recently, digital concepts. I’m especially drawn to fantasy subjects — characters, creatures, and settings that bring the imagination to life. For the past five years, I’ve also been exploring hand lettering, which has added a playful and expressive layer to my creative style.
In addition to visual art, I’m passionate about storytelling. I’m currently editing the first book in a fantasy trilogy I’ve written and working on the second installment. For me, art and writing go hand in hand — both are ways of building worlds, expressing emotion, and connecting with others.
My dream is to become a professional animator and work at Disney or Pixar, where I can combine my love of drawing, storytelling, and animation to create characters and stories that move people — literally and emotionally. I’m applying to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) to deepen my skills in traditional and digital media, with a focus on digital animation.
Thank you for taking the time to explore my work. I hope it gives you a glimpse into the stories I love to tell — both on the page and beyond.
